Comparison to currently available solutions

The monitor-io device executes performance tests continuously to measure the quality of the network using only a negligible amount of the network capacity. This is done using an advanced packet exchange sequence (not pings) that can detect the numerous traffic impairments that impact performance. We follow several IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) IPPM (Internet Protocol Performance Measurements) workgroup standards. Our methodology is more comprehensive than ping and more specific than speed tests. For more details see our Test Methodology paper.

We consider it extremely important to emphasize that we do not use ARP spoofing/poisoning or expect to become your DHCP server. We never alter routing, sit in the data path or access your router. More feature comparisons to existing solutions may be found below.
